Suggested Dependencies on Strength and Dexterity
Dependency of a weapon on strength and dexterity will usually
depend on how the weapon lands it's blows. A 98 pound weakling
trying to swing a 140 pound battleaxe is only going to be able
to hit a tree trunk, no matter how dexterious he is, therefore
DepStr on a battleaxe should be high, while DepDex should be
low. On the other hand, a foil which even a small child could
swing, will be a clumsy piece of metal in the hands of a musclebound
warrior with little dexterity. Therefore, DepStr on a foil
should be low, while DepDex should be high. A piece of wood
is not going to require much strength to swing, and it really
won't require much dexterity, so both should be low. The
following are examples of DepStr and DepDex on some weapons.
